Des espaces intermédiaires is the title of a text that has not yet been published yet but which has acquired for me a kind of programmatic value.
I have been engaged for several years in investigating fields of possibility between established polarities such as inside/outside, past/future, visible/invisible, or subject/object – fluctuating, fleeting, and in many places imperceptible spaces that surround us. A region constituted by the real and the imaginary, the experienced and the perceived at the same time, and hiding within itself tiny transitions through which it questions familiar spaces. Behind the concept of in-between spaces is a concern with the relativity of perception, with forms of non-distinctness, and with the relationship of time and space. The question is: how to stabilize the image of a fleeing, imperceptible space?
